War sucks.

It's horrible. It's terrible. It's awful.

People shouldn't be doing this and people shouldn't have to suffer in this way.

-AND-

There's a reason why wars exist. There's a reason why one group of people thinks they can take from another sovereign group of people. There's a reason why groups of people think they can murder, pillage, plunder, and oppress.

It's because we are living with over 5,000 years worth of trauma stored in our bodies.

All of the traumas of when one group of people overthrew another group of people and then laid claim to them and what was theirs and then oppressed them.

This trauma stems as far back as the original colonization:

When ancient Sumer was invaded, conquered, pillaged, plundered, colonized, and oppressed.

We have never healed and recovered from that moment, over 5,000 years ago. It lives in our bodies. It jacks up our nervous systems. It creates an environment of us vs them.

So you can say all the prayers you want and you can send all of the light and love that you want, and unless you're also taking action, it won't do a damn thing.

If you want your prayers to work, you have to do the work.
If you want to send Love, you have to understand Love and cultivate Love. You have to BE Love.

That means YOU have to do the work of healing over 5,000 years of trauma that lives in YOUR body. No other body can do that work for you. Only YOU can do it.

So as you're sitting there wondering what you can do, do the work.

When you do your work, you create a ripple effect that impacts everyone you meet, and everyone they meet, and everyone they meet.

That is how this works.

So, you want to see an end to war? You want to see an end to suffering? You want to see an end to autocratic dictatorships?

Do the work.

Otherwise you're part of the same system creating the war.

Do the work of healing the ways your brain, your body, and your behavior have been impacted by these systems of supremacy.

Do the work.

I don't care who you do the work with. I don't care how you do the work. All roads will lead to the same place. Just do the work.

One place you can begin is over on my free podcast, Fierce Authenticity. Listen. Learn. And do the work.

That's the only way we'll see an end to the pain and suffering of our world.

Do the work.

Start with episodes 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0 of Fierce Authenticity.

Collective trauma.
Your nervous system.
Intergenerational trauma.

Do the work. Our entire livelihoods depend on it.
